Because Y-Not?
The time has come to change the course of human development and transformation. We have come to a point where the traditional mode and notions of progress are not yielding the expected results. The time to act is now; let us not wait any longer!!
BUT FIRST.....
Our research venture began out of the desire to answer the question: Can we reduce disease and poverty worldwide? Now, in order to answer the question, The Y-Not Project needed the assistance and guidance of a number of experts that were ready to tackle the different issues that our world is facing today. After going through countless essays, one-on-one interviews, online surveys, focus groups and collaborations with the candidates, the group was narrowed to six individuals. The problems that they presented to us based on the essays that they submitted are definitely ones that needed to be taken care of as soon as possible. They offered solutions to these problems, and our plan was to work with them as best we could in order to accomplish our goal of reducing worldwide disease and poverty. This group of unique researchers include: Fareed Zakaria, Alison Katz, Kenneth Rogoff, Jeffrey Sachs, Namrita Talwar, and Anuradha Mittal. Each member of The Y-Not Project was paired with one of these mentors and focused on the issue that they had originally come up with.
